Life’s tribulations may seem overwhelming, but I refuse to give up on myself. My life has a purpose and my happiness is worth fighting for. I may fall, but I get up, dust off my shoes, and walk with steadfast determination.
I refuse to succumb to the crippling effects of disappointment by accepting that things may not always work out the way I want them to. When things do not work out in my favor, I seek solutions.
In the face of difficult times, I pray and ask my Creator for guidance. The answers to my questions can be found through prayer. I protect my heart from bitterness when I accept the Creators sovereign plan over my own.
In place of bitterness or self-pity, I embrace forgiveness. Letting go of my hurt is the only way I can have a chance to live. I forgive myself for my shortcomings and focus on my strengths. I forgive others for their role in contributing to any negative circumstances.
To keep loneliness far away, I surround myself with people who care about me. Having others rally around me is a source of comfort and strength. When I know I am not alone, I have the courage to stand up to depression.
The support of my friends and family is my lifeline. Like a life raft, they support me. The unconditional love of those close to me helps me realize that there is more to life.
Today, I choose life! I choose to embrace the healing love being offered to me so I may live a life filled with joy and purpose.
