I am like a chameleon. I can blend into most environments easily. Whether it is a new workplace, neighborhood, social circle, or family, I can always see things from the perspective of others. Because of this, I am welcomed nearly everywhere I go.

My ability to adapt is largely due to my strong desire to become cultured. To me, it is fascinating to learn new skills, thought processes and information from people who are different from me.

Though I keep my own values close to my heart, I know that it is important to be able to see things from a different standpoint.

The ability to step into the shoes of another and view situations from their eyes is a talent and a skill. Not everyone is born with this ability or cares to cultivate it. I am proud to say that I am one of the lucky few who can make the most of this potential.

Each unfamiliar environment and new experience is an adventure for me. The worst that can happen is that I may not like the experience. If this occurs, I just walk away.

Even so, I always come out of the situation feeling renewed and with new skills or knowledge under my belt!

Today, I can easily go to any type of social gathering and feel comfortable. In doing so, I am able to meet new friends and discover new ideas.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. Do I shy away from unfamiliar environments because I am self-conscious?
2. Am I intimidated by new people? Why?
3. When faced with a new environment, am I fully open to learning how things work there?
