The time of my day that warms my heart the most is the time I get to spend around the house with my family. They are the most important people in my life.

In my house, we have a weekly family game night. The kids can hardly wait for the time of laughter and family bonding we share on these nights. My spouse and I cherish every second we spend with our kids.

We play fun games like charades and Monopoly. Sometimes, we sing karaoke or even enjoy a candy-hunt around the house! I am so glad that my children have grown to love family game night as much as I do!

I am more than just a parent to my kids; I am their role model and friend. I am getting to know them while they develop into young adults and, thanks to our wonderful relationship, my children allow me to be there for them emotionally every step of the way.

My spouse and I are closer than ever. Each night after the kids have gone to bed, we relax together and talk about our day. Our nightly catch up sessions allow us to unwind and remain emotionally and intellectually in sync.

Kicking back with my family helps me cope with the stresses of life. My children are so innovative, creative, and fun to be around. My spouse and I feel extremely proud of all that we are accomplishing every time we look at them.

Today, I value my family and cherish our time together. Family time is my favorite time because we can all just be ourselves without fear of judgment from others.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. Do I maximize my time with my family by focusing on them, rather than being on my laptop or zoning into the television?
2. How can my spouse and I carve out quality time to spend with each other?
3. Can I take part in interactive activities with my children more frequently?
