I make mistakes just like everyone else and I expect to make mistakes for decades to come.

I understand that making mistakes is a natural part of life. Though I try my best to always achieve greatness, I know that, sometimes, I just may fall short and make a mistake – and that is okay!

The mistake itself is of little importance to me. What truly matters is what I do afterwards. I always make it a point to pick myself up gracefully and do what is called for, even if I would much rather take another path.

If I must apologize to someone, I give a sincere apology. I admit my errors and seek a solution to resolve them willingly and with urgency.

When I make a mistake, I keep my composure and, even if I am feeling frantic, I remain graceful and professional. I avoid beating myself up.

Mistakes have a purpose in my life. They allow me to learn from my experiences and strengthen both my intelligence and character as an individual.

At the end of the day, I am the person that I truly must please and I am proud of my achievements. I take my errors with a grain of salt because I always have additional opportunities to prove my strength.

Today, I give myself a mental break. I am fully aware that I am my toughest critic and I have no interest in ridiculing myself for my mistakes.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. Am I critical of my mistakes because I want to appear flawless?
2. How can I improve my reaction when others point out my errors?
3. What accomplishments am I proud of?
